Tokwa’t Itlog (Fried Tofu With Egg)

This is a twist to the usual tokwa’t baboy (tofu with pork).  This recipe uses egg instead of pork.  This is great as an appetizer or pulutan (bar chow) at gatherings and parties.

Ingredients:

1 pc Egg
2 pcs Tofu sliced in cubes
3 tbsp Butter
Salt and pepper to taste.

Procedure:

In a small bowl, beat the egg.
In a hot pan, add 1 tbsp butter and fry the beaten egg, then set aside for the moment.
Add the remaining butter to the pan and fry the tofu until golden brown.
Place the fried tofu on a plate and add the scramble egg.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Serve with toyomansi.
