Fried Sizzling Balut

How do you make balut even better?  By making it fried and sizzling!  This is great as pulutan (bar chow) served with beer at parties and gatherings!

Ingredients:

3 pcs Cooked balut egg
1/4 cup Oyster sauce
1/4 cup Soy sauce
3 cloves Garlic (minced)
1 pc Onion (chopped)
3 pcs Siling haba
1/4 cup Flour
1/4 cup Breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
1 pc bay leaf

Procedure:

Separate balut the chick from the balut eggs.
In a bowl mix flour and a bit of water to make a batter.
Heat oil in a pan.
Dip the balut chicks in the batter and cover with breadcrumbs.
Fry the coated balut chicks in the pan until golden brown, then set aside.
Chop the rest of the balut and sauté it with onion and garlic then add the bay leaf, oyster sauce and soy sauce.
Add the sliced siling haba and season with salt and pepper.
Put the sauted balut on a serving plate
Place the fried balut chicks on top.
Serve with toyomansi sauce.
