Egg Stuffed Chili Peppers

A spicy snack treat.  This is also great with rice or as appetizers or pulutan (barchow) at parties.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pcs Egg (hard boiled)
  • 1 pc Carrot (finely chopped)
  • 1 pc Onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1 pc Egg
  • 10 pcs Siling haba (Green finger chili pepper)
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • Lettuce

Procedure:

1. In a bowl mix chopped hardboiled eggs, chopped carrots minced garlic, chopped onion, black pepper, salt.
2. Slice the siling haba in the center, then wash an remove seeds.
3. Put the hardboiled egg mixture as a filling in the siling haba.
4. In a bowl mix the egg and flour and a bit of water to make a batter.
5. Dip the stuffed siling haba in the batter then fry in hot oil until golden brown and cooked.
6. Serve on a bed of lettuce and the tomato.
7. Enjoy!
